Phew! We've been busy!

Here's a quick update of what we've been up to. Pictures of each to follow at a later date.

Beginning of April we were able to go to Denver to see so many friends during spring break. It was so great to revisit some of our favorite hang outs in that great city. We have all missed it terribly, although we know that living in Logan is where we are meant to be. So glad we have connections in Denver...its a great place to visit!

We had to get the back porch painted at our house by April 30. Some kind of insurance deadline. So it took me a couple of weeks to scrap, sand, caulk and paint. Alex is quite a handful and the only times I could work on it were when he was asleep or when he had someone else responsible to watch him....so the project took place in 20 to 30 minute increments over several days. I have some before and after shots. Much improved!

Ben was baptized on May 2. It was a wonderful day. We had some family able to join us for the occasion which is always so nice and one of the great things about living in Logan. Ben turned 8 in March and has also started in Cub Scouts, which he thinks is absolutely awesome. He has already earned his Bobcat, so I have some more patches to sew on his oversize scout shirt.

I was also volunteering quite a bit of time for my dad to help him find some new renters for his little house here in Logan and helping with some painting, etc. Shaun and I (and Ben) lived in that house for about the first 4 years we were married. Its fixed up pretty darn cute and we wanted to find some responsible renters who would keep it that way! (You can take a look at here if you want pictures. You can see the bathroom that was being gutted and was the reason we came to stay here in the "Camper House" the first time around.) We think mission accomplished...newlyweds move in later this month.

The other thing we have been busy with is house hunting! We've been exploring a lot of different options, and we think we've settled on building our own in beautiful Hyde Park. Stay tuned for more on that in the weeks/months to come!
