Its a BOY (again!)

There was no question. As soon as the ultrasonographer placed the wand on my belly, she announced "Its a boy!"

Ben said, "What? Three boys in our family?"

Later he said he was a little sad that he wouldn't have a sister (he'd been wanting one so badly), but said it would be OK because they could all do fun stuff together.

Up to this point, Erik has not really expressed an opinion as to having a brother or sister...until yesterday when he vehemently voiced his objections to the prospect of having a "girl baby." He repeated several times that he didn't like girl babies and he didn't like big girls, either. It surprised me because if anything, I figured he'd go along with what Ben wanted. Well, he must have finally made up his mind about it and he is quite happy with what we found out today! In fact, he wants us to name baby #3 "Erik."

Aside from that, we all enjoyed seeing the little guy on the screen. Erik was especially amused by his heart pumping and giggled several times when it came on screen. When looking at the head, I pointed out to Ben that that was the baby's brain. Erik said "Ew, brains?!" Ben said "The brain is pale in color." Spoken like a true "Science Kid."

Congratulations on another boy! You moms of all boys get a one way ticket to the pearly white gates of heaven. Erik and Ben are so cute.. I'm sure #3 will be as well. Although I am sorry all you have are males to come home to after getting a haircut, I was laughing so hard after reading that post. Thank you for including me on your invite list.

Let the good times begin, more men in the house, more shopping money for you. Boys don't care! Yippy! Also, one less wedding to pay for, the list is endless as to why 3 boys is better than 2 boys and one girl.
